Latest Updates from Our Project:

FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS
about 3 years ago – Thu, Mar 16, 2023 at 06:21:49 PM

THE BOOKS ARE BEING MADE!!!

Phew! That felt like an eternity! But the books are finally getting made after some delays in the production, and they should be arriving at the beginning of april! Which means I hope to be shipping by the end of April/Beginning of May!

Thank you for being patient!

Seriously, I'm sure that some of you forgot about this project, some of you might have thought that even I forgot about it (which i did NOT... as my therapist and cortisol levels can verify lmfao) and it is honestly such a weight off me to be able to say that the books are coming!!

I have said this in other forums, and potentially even in the last update.... but as only my 3rd KS project ever, there are still many things I have to learn about the production side of making books. And boy-howdy, did i ever learn some lessons on this one.

Again, my sincerest apologies for the delays. I was raised with punctuality being paramount in importance, and it honestly has been rough on my acid reflux (stress response) since like November when I knew this thing was going to be delayed.

Thank you all for not inundating me with messages asking for updates. Thank you for being patient. Stress and Anxiety and depression are a big road block for so many of us, ad I appreciate your confidence in the process, even with the delays.

To the Future!

So looking ahead to the next project... I am working on Delving in the Dark, a single player TTRPG that pretty much only uses a standard 6 sided die and a pack of playing cards (with jokers). The concept is that you are a dungeon delver and you mark your start to the dungeon with a joker and place your character marker on the card, then you deal out cards to make a dungeon and flip over cards as you explore! Try to survive and collect treasure to build your town! Clicking the link above or here will take you to the google doc play test so you can play the full game right now and give me feed back!

I am currently formatting the book and starting the art for it soon.

Part of my future proofing of projects starts with this book. I will be transferring the KS backers credits to various websites and simplifying the in-product thank you to just my Ko-Fi backers and a mention to Kickstarter in general. I will also be making sure that all pages of the book are completely full, with potential filler pages on standby. Part of my problem with ordering the book in the first place was my need to make a few more pages to fill out the book for printing due to the way staple binding works.

Essentially, moving forward there will be nothing left to actually produce when a project goes live. I cannot state how much stress and anxiety i have been experiencing because I didnt do my due diligence of having all my covers and what not planned out before the KS Campaign went live.

Again, Thank you for your patience!

Ok, thats it! Update over! I just really cannot over state how appreciative I am for everyone's understanding.

I vow to be better in the future.

New Year New update!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Jan 13, 2023 at 04:33:36 AM

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence for the beginning of the month. I was trying to wait to make this up-date until had good news to offer. But here we are two weeks in to  January, and i feel like I have to say at least a little something to yall.

Unfortunately a myriad of minor annoyances delayed my ordering of the comics, and as a result of that, I am still waiting for the comics to be printed etc.

So unfortunately this likely means that shipping will be delayed... and by how much, I am not certain.

Here is the status: I'm just waiting on stuff to be made and sent to me so I can send things to you.

-------------------

Future Plans:

Over the last few months I have been tinkering on multiple projects... and none of them are really in a place to move forward out of "pre production" as it were. So on the Kickstarter front, I honestly dont know if I will have anything coming out for a while. I wanted to do the TTRPG Zine thing in february, but i am still drawing art for my project, and I havent even started cleaning up the rules explanations. Also, also, I realized that making an entire book in photoshop is the WRONG way to do it... in fact I am losing my allegiance to Adobe in general... but I digress.

This is just one of the things that has been slowing down progress on my projects, but its a major thing. Learning new Programs takes a ton of time to produce the level of art that I know i can make if only i had mastery of the proper tools.

So here are my goals for 2023:

Make at least 1 comic (i dont have any scripts ready to be drawn yet, so this involves finalizing a script too, But I have a few ideas in the works)

Try to finish up Delving in the Dark, the smaller and less complex table top game I am working on.

Work on OMEGA, the more complex ttrpg.

Do a LOT more character commission art work.

-------------------

Again, sorry for the delay in production! I am but one person juggling many projects and the holidays were especially stressful this year for me, being the first year my family has felt comfortable doing holiday things since the pandemic started. Stacked ontop of the Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years, my nephew, mother, and one of my sisters all have birthdays crammed into there as well.

But things are returning to some semblance of normalcy. And I will keep everyone informed of progress as soon as I have news to share!

NOV Update
over 3 years ago – Tue, Nov 08, 2022 at 10:37:16 AM

Hey Folks, just a quick update here.

The short version is that time got away from me as I was working on a few things here and there, and I am only JUST starting to work on the last few pages of OW#2 so I can get this stuff to the printers.

The printer i use is still having paper supply issues... or at least their warning of supply issue delays is still in effect. I am hoping to still get everything together and to be able to ship in January. But i wouldn't want it to come as a surprise if things are running a little late.

I feel absolutely terrible about this folks. I know lot's of creators on KS will ask for funding before they even start on a project, but I felt like it would be a point of pride to not have too long of a delay between campaigns ending and shipping beginning. And even though it's only my 3rd campaign... I feel like I am letting myself down by not being more punctual... and in turn, that makes me feel like I am letting you all down too.

I have a few jobs I am doing for some commission work, but I'm hoping to have all this stuff done by the end of NOV so that I can order the comics and aim to ship by the end of Jan/Early Feb?

Hope your Halloween season was good!

Stretch Goal Progress!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 21, 2022 at 08:50:29 AM

Play Test Rules

Hey folks!

I know we didn't hit the stretch goals, but like I said, we were so close to the goal, and they were projects I was already working on... so here is the Alpha version 1.0 playtest rules for the single player TTRPG I have been working on.

I will be adding rules for 5 more Delving Goals (Right now the only Goal Card i have defined is Boss Monster Fights, But I will be adding things like Research Curse, Locate Missing Person, and Study Anomaly among others to make your delving more interesting on repeat play throughs. To string those repeat delves I will also be adding a Campaign mode with a long term goal to achieve.

The Game itself uses playing cards and a six sided die. You play as one of 22 dungeon delver archetypes  exploring The Living Dungeon. You must survive the perils of a randomly generated dungeon to collect treasure and (once the campaign mode is done) build up a thriving town!

Please play the game! Please give feedback! I will be doing a campaign for this in February for the next #ZineQuest so feed back is greatly appreciated! I know it's branching outside comics, but hopefully you find it fun!
